As of January 1, 2026, CIRO has implemented new proficiency requirements for its Approved Persons of Investment Dealers regulated by CIRO. The new rules include changes to the current requirement for mandatory courses offered by the CSI.
Under the new rules, CIRO will be moving towards an assessment centric proficiency model for Approved Persons of Investment Dealers. For more information on CIRO’s new Proficiency Rules, please refer to the CIRO Proficiency Website.
